When luxury, creativity, and design come together, it usually does not take too much time for the fashion industry to notice a brand and acclaim it internationally. Footwear luxury brand Aquazzura confirms this habit. Born only in 2011 the brand - with its headquarter located the historic Palazzo Corsini in Florence - is present today in over 58 countries worldwide and is recognized as one of the most innovative labels in the luxury women's footwear sector. An outcome of the young designer Edgardo Osorio's creative mind, Aquazzura shoes represents a classy accessory made in Italy, requested by many Hollywood stars and trendsetters like Julianne Moore, Jennifer Lawrence, Gwyneth Paltrow and Nicole Kidman.
On the occasion of the new collections' launch on the main digital platforms, Aquazzura has relied on our agency for the selection of the models protagonists of both indoor and outdoor shoots. The main feature of the photo shoot was to capture the feet and legs of our models, to showcase these new creations. In order to do this, there was the need to select special models, with a precise number of feet suitable to highlight the most prestigious qualities of these precious and refined shoes.

Main features of a footwear model
Sinuosity, harmony, and proportions: for a successful photo shoot in the footwear industry, it is very important to ensure that these three elements fit perfectly together. This is possible only by following certain rules already established in the fashion world, such as the number of feet required for this type of work: the number 37. How come this number? This is a mignon number, which is used by shoe factories for two main reasons. The first reason is to concentrate the costs of creating an entire shoe collection. The second is taking time to understand which models will work and will like more the next season, based on the appreciation of buyers during the sales campaign.
Being the protagonists of this type of shoots seems to represent the dream of every woman: who would not wear for work fantastic luxury shoes before anyone else? But it is important to remember that our models ha had to attend numerous shooting sessions, so it is not a matter of a few hours or a work that can be completed in one single day. Especially for brands like Aquazzura which choose to use the shots for their e-commerce site or social media channels, numerous shots are required for each product. Well-groomed feet, beautiful legs, but also a lot of patience is needed!
